Question: What got you into baseball?
Answer: The short answer: My dad. The long answer: It starts with my parents. My dad played baseball until high-school where he wrestled, and my mom played softball. I started playing baseball in tee ball up until the year before kids pitch. We were playing baseball at the fields and my dad hit me in the nose and it started bleeding and I got scared of the ball and I quit. I slowly started getting less and less scared of the ball and about 2-3 years ago I played baseball on my dad’s town league team. After that year I decided I’d join a travel ball team. But another problem happened, you see, I am a pitcher but my coach on that team pitched me 2 innings that whole season which really blew my confidence. Also, to make it worse, in the league there was a team that was too high of a level to be playing there, so when I batted against them I got scared because they were faster than I was used to. So after that season I quit. Until a year later I had this motivation to play so my dad got me on a high-school team with one of my best friends.
